IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR ACCEPTED ARTISTS:
Invitations
Accepted artists will each receive one complimentary admission and are encouraged to attend the TRASK
event. During the evening, judges will announce awards, cash prizes, and honorable mentions. RSVPs
by artists should be sent by phone at 518-587-5030. One additional ticket will be available to artists until Tuesday, June 26 at a discounted rate of $35. This ticket must be reserved and purchased in advance by phone at 518-587-5030. Any additional tickets can be purchased at the regular cost online at www.saratogapreservation.org or by calling 518-587-5030.
Display
All selected works must arrive appropriately framed, matted and/or mounted and ready for
presentation or hanging. Two-dimensional work must be ready to hang with appropriate hardware and
wiring installed. Sculpture and other unframed art must be accompanied with the necessary materials;
please contact the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation for further information. If necessary, any
special installation instructions must accompany the accepted works. Saratoga Springs Preservation
Foundation and Saratoga Springboard assume total design control of the art show, and reserve the right
to not display submitted works which are not appropriately framed, matted and/or mounted.
Drop Off
Work must be delivered to the designated drop-off location the day prior to the event by the
artist and at the artist’s expense. Mailed or shipped works will not be accepted. Works must be
dropped off at the Canfield Casino on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Late
works may not be accepted. Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation reserves the right to exclude
entries that are not dropped off during the designated drop-off times. Saratoga Springs Preservation
Foundation, Saratoga Springboard, its successors and assigns will not assume the liability for loss or
damage. All costs for insurance, packing, shipping, and/or delivery are the responsibility of the artist.
Art Sales
Buyers will purchase works through the silent auction process and will be checked out at the event by
the sales staff. Buyers will be allowed to take their purchased works at the end of the event. Artists will
receive 50% of the proceeds of any sales of their works, unless the work has been fully donated.
Payments to artists will be mailed to the address provided on the entry form within 2-3 weeks of
the day of the event.
Pick Up of Unsold Works
Artists must pick up work that is not sold, either at the close of the event or during designated hours the
day following the event. An email will be sent to artists of any unsold works remaining at the Canfield
Casino on the morning of Friday, June 29. All works must be picked up on Friday, June 29, 2012,
between 9:00AM and 12:00PM at the Canfield Casino. Works left beyond the required pick-up
times are not the responsibility of the Canfield Casino, City of Saratoga Springs, Saratoga
Springboard or Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation.
