The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation hosted its first virtual event on Saturday, May 9th in lieu of the postponed Historic Homes Tour.  People from across the country, and even as far as England, tuned into the live stream concert with Rich Ortiz as a way to come together as a community to enjoy music while supporting the Foundation.

If you missed the live music on Saturday please enjoy the saved concert with Rich Ortiz while relaxing on your porch or spending time with your family by CLICKING HERE.

The Foundation are encouraged everyone to gather on their porch or in the comfort of their own home, order food out to support their favorite local restaurant or make their own, and share photos to win giveaways and contest prizes.

The Foundation has been announcing on social media the winners of the Toast to Preservation Giveaways this week where participants had a chance to win amazing gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. The gift cards were purchased by the Board of Directors of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation as their way to support some our favorite locally-owned businesses that over the years have given so much to the Foundation!

PORCH DECORATING CONTEST
People from near and far got into the spirit of the Porch Party by decorating their porches in anticipation of the Virtual Porch Party. Prizes were awarded to a winner and a runner-up of both the Saratoga Springs Theme and the Moment in History Theme. Carol Godette won the Saratoga theme and received an awesome Porch Party gift from TOGA Heritage and the runner up was Instagram user racetrack_tom from Kentucky!

Robert Davis and Denise McDonald won for Moment in History Theme and received a fantastic Porch Package from Impressions of Saratoga and the runner-up was Sam Morrison from Massachusetts.

The Historic Homes Tour is the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, typically raising nearly a quarter of our annual budget. Proceeds from the event provides critical support for us to preserve the places and the community that you love so much and underwrites our educational programs, advocacy efforts, technical assistance, and restoration projects. The Board of Directors and staff were thrilled to have numerous donations and memberships come in during the Virtual Porch Party, but we still need your support! Please make a donationbecome a member, or purchase a discounted Porch Party ticket so you have your spot reserved when we do reschedule at 748 North Broadway!

THANK YOU TO OUR HONORARY CO-CHAIRS, CHARLES & CANDACE WAIT, OUR HONORARY COMMITTEE MEMBERS & OUR GENEROUS CORPORATE SPONSORS!
